HI everyone.

Just wondering what step I'm missing here, I think this is the first time I've encountered this. I've got a pyro scene rendering some simple flames, and it's showing just fine in the preview window, but in the render window, it's like the entire thing is switched off.

If anyone can help, I'd be really grateful

Thanks!

Hiya,

Thanks, but that was the first place I looked. There's nothing in there I could find that would explain why the simulation would show properly in the live viewer but not in the final render.

I've just double checked again, and the settings all seem fine.

Pyro has two modes for viewport and export.
Similar as LV and PV.

Hi Aokar,

Could you explain that a bit more to me, I don't understand what you mean.

I can't get the render to show a Pyro sim even starting from scratch. This is what I'm doing:

Create object.
Give object a pyro tag.
Put a Octane ObjectTag on the Pyro object
Leave all settings as default
Cache everything and set my frame.

Visible in live viewer.

Render: nothing.

Is there a step here that I'm missing to get it to render?

I tried it again because of your post and It worked on every trys. Just put octane tag after pyro effect has been calculated. It needs to find the available channels to assign these in to slots of medium as strings

Or put your scene here if you cannot still have success
