Trying to animate lights across a spline (hair render enabled on spline), using w coordinate and gradient -- typically what I do (without w coordinate) is just animate the uvw transform to shift/scale the gradient. Sadly with w coordinate... scaling doesn't seem to work -- unless there is a way to re-map an

Is anyone familiar with a way to scale and shift my gradient across the w coordinate ?

(technically transform DOES work -- but I can't SCALE the gradient down to make it repeat)

aiming for little dots parading across the spline, ideally I would control the look of each small dot from one single gradient... then scale that gradient to make it repeat

Hi,
the W Coordinate texture is designed for mapping an Hair from root to tip, so you need to use it as source of an Octane Gradient node, for mapping it in a different way:

But why not using geometry dot lights with MoGraph on the spline?
