file name node
Moderator: face_off
is there a way to only add the file name without the texture locator/projection nodes attached to it? I feel like I get inconsistent behavior when dragging images from the clips tab, or the shader tree or whether I use "add selected" or just drag it in - but regardless I really would like to be able to only drag the image in by itself and hook up whatever projection I want afterwards.
Can you not simply use the Filename property in the Octane Image node?

The plugin is automatically adding the first Texture Locator for the Image in the Shader Tree if there is one. If you drag a clip that is not used in the Shader Tree then no Texture Locator is added. The Texture Locator is automatically added so that the Texture Location->Octane Project can be plugged into the Octane Image node.jwfvr wrote:thats exactly what I want - it seems when you drag in the image you get the additional nodes and I was thinking there was a way around this - but I guess the backspace key is the only way?
