This used to work if I remember correctly. Would be great if we could stack materials like in Redshift.
we have the material stacking feature since a long time. What do mean with to have it?

Seems there's a bug with it.
when you change projections to say flat they dont update. You have to resend the scene to Octane to see the change. Perhaps this should trigger a refresh in the Live viewer.
Infact when moving and scaling the Flat projection in texture mode it doesn't update octane live viewer so you dont really have any idea what it looks like.
Next the position in the viewport is incorrectly translated. See the below image. The flat texture projection is almost straight on from the camera and low on the object..... yet the texture is being projected from the top right instead.
We are also missing the functionality for the side parameters while in Flat mode preventing a image from projecting past the normals on to the back side of an object. Redshift and Vray have control over this.
Lastly changing the first material tag's projection mode seems to affect tags following it.
This feature is very broken and predictable at this point in time.

Heres another example where the 2nd material in the stack was able to be positioned correctly but when trying to move the 3rd material in the stack it stays stuck in the middle despite the UV in the viewport clearly being moved to the top right.
I cannot reproduce the what you are talking about. Please share your test scenes

I dont have a file on hand but can 100% confirm this behaviour, updates to top level materials stop when other materials are on the same model. Not exactly the same but maybe related is the attached project. In this project the animated numbers on the left cube wont update in the live view when scrubbing the time slider, but they do on the right cube with no material below it. The only way to fix this is to add an octane tag with 'force updates' enabled.
