If anyone has a solution to this it would be appreciated. I've updated all drivers, the server is running, selected my GPU in device prefs and I can't render anything. The viewport works just fine however. I unchecked Use Priority in prefs and it rendered once, then went back to hanging again. Someone told me to make sure denoiser is active in octane camera settings, I did that and it made no difference. I can't imagine it's my computer as it's no slouch; win10, RTX 3090, 5950x, 64BG ram. Uninstalling and reintalling Blender doesn't solve the problem.

Help?

Please verify that your GPU is properly recognized by Blender and Octanebitlife. In Blender's System Preferences, under the "Cycles Render Devices," make sure your GPU (RTX 3090) is selected. Additionally, ensure that the correct CUDA version is selected in the Octane preferences if applicable.
The GPU shows correctly in all preferences with CUDA selected. I can use vanilla Blender just fine with no issues but Octane just won't render. The image starts up, looks as though its rendering but then just sits there on a pixelated image.
"Ensure that the correct CUDA version is selected in the Octane preferences if applicable" I'm unclear on this part, however. Is this just making sure CUDA is selected in the Octane addon prefs? I don't see an option anywhere for this.

I'm having a very similar problem right now (on Linux). Blender itself is rendering fine on GPU.
I recently updated my drivers from 530.30.02 to 535.54.03. All other CUDA / Optix applications work fine.

UPDATE: In my case the hanging was happening because the OCIO config I used changed the names of some color spaces after I did a "git pull" on it.
I use the AgX config from here https://projects.blender.org/Eary/blend ... ranch/main
After changing / updating the names to the new ones, everything worked as before.
Sorry for the noise.
