Hey,

Been trying to find a solution for ages. I am trying to export my animation to Octane Standalone from Blender Octane 3.3.1. When I open the orbx file the scene loads however there is no timeline and when I batch render it only renders frame 1. I cannot select any other frames.

Please help

I think the reason is because your series of photos is too large, leading to overloading the orbx file, so when mass exporting, an error will occur.

Double-check that you're using the correct export method for animations within Blender Octane. It's usually labeled as "Alembic Export" or "Octane Animated Package."
Check frame range: Confirm that you've specified the correct frame range during export, encompassing all animated frames.

Make sure you have set the correct frame range for the animation in Blender before exporting to orbx. Also check the export settings in Blender to make sure it's set to export the entire animation sequence instead of just a single framemy location.

Make sure OctaneRender is properly installed. Sometimes, if the installation is incomplete or corrupted, it won’t appear as an option in the material nodes.

I also encountered the same situation like this. Then I edited the frame and finally it worked.

This usually happens because animation data isn’t properly exported to ORBX. Octane Standalone doesn’t use Blender’s timeline unless the animation is baked/exported correctly.
Try checking:
  • Export type is set to Animation (Full), not Single Frame
Frame range is correctly set in Blender before export
All object transforms are baked (especially for modifiers, constraints, particles)
Use Render Target: Animation in Octane Standalone
Also note that older Octane Blender versions (like 3.3.1) have limited animation support. Updating to a newer Octane Blender build may fix the issue.

ORBX files exported from Blender Octane do NOT carry animation timelines into Octane Standalone.
That’s why:

There is no timeline in Standalone

Batch render only renders frame 1

You can’t select other frames

This is expected behavior, not a bug in your setup.
