Hi,
How can we do the same in OCtane (vray distance texture)? In vray you can overlap two meshes and create sprites on the road. https://youtu.be/JQmd75sTRfQ?t=567

Thanks

PS
You told us to use dirt text as distance texture but it is not as good like vray distance.

First, we only want road marking mesh to leave texture on the road and not other objects like car tires.
Second, dirt texture doesn't work if object is not renderable it must be set to invisible to camera but it leaves shadow.

Can we get a proper distance e tex like in vray?

Hi coilbook,
I can't think of a way to do this with current Octane OSL textures..
I forwarded this request to the engine team.
Thanks
