Andrew Bishop
Hi Everyone, over the coming few days I will try to answer as many questions as possible, but needless to say i am extremely happy that we are in the final stages of getting LightWave up and running again. We have huge plans for its future, not just short term but also long term. We are extremely pleased to have worked closely with VizRT in making this come together and thank them hugely for enabling this. I look forward to giving you loads more information over the coming weeks and months.
Long live Lightwave!

A very good day to avoid EOL of Lightwave and continue to provide Octane update

Main Computer:
Ryzen 3990X / 96Go Ram / 2 x RTX 3090
OS: Windows 11 x64 - NVidia Driver 560.70 - Octane Plugin Build 2023.1.3.141
Licensed: Softimage 2012 SP1 / Lightwave 2024.0.1 / Rhino 8.9

I think a new version of the LW needs to come out first, or the new owner company will give Juanjo access to the corrected and updated SDK so that he can integrate the new Octane features into the plugin.

Great news for sure.
Some pretty big changes will be needed to be done to Lightwave to make it competitive to other constantly developed programs. Lightwave is way behind in a lot of areas.
Hopefully one of the changes is to finally unify the Program, which is what Newtek choked on doing. I was super jazzed about the possibility of Lightwave Core, and disappointed when it fell through.
Lightwave "Digital" might as well start with a version 1 when it gets up and running, assuming that its been significantly upgraded.
