Hi all,

So I've encountered a problem with the Render queue and having Motion Blur enabled on Octane Camera.
I've tried with Octane 2021 and 2022, and R25/R26/2023 and have had the same problem with them all.

So I have an animation, where the camera moves through a scene. In the render queue, it will render the first 2 frames in motion, then the rest will all be duplicates of the 2nd frame. I tried a render overnight, and had 200 frames of the exact same image.

The moment I disable motion blur in the camera and render using the Render queue, no problems. I've remade all my scenes in new projects with new cameras with MB enabled. And the same problem occurs.

I've never noticed this issue before, possibly because I haven't used MB and RQ in tandem.

This issue does not affect the Picture Viewer, as when I render with this the MB is enabled and renders just fine.

Anyone had this issue before? Thanks

Hi,
whiche xactg version of plugin are you using?

Can you share an example scene that shows the issue, even via Private Message?

ciao,
Beppe

Hi Beppe,

I was using 2021.1.1.6-R5, and I am now using 2022.1_R5 - I have been using R26 for both. I tried C4D R2023 with 2022.1_R5, same issue.

Yes, I can send a scene file through. I'll send you a private message in a minute.

Thanks,
Charlie

Ok, thanks for sharing the scene.
I have rendered it without issues via Render Queue, so I'm following you via Private Message to understand what is going on with your machine.

ciao,
Beppe
