I got this scene where cubes can morph into spheres using geometry nodes. It looks very cool (check the shading tab and scroll the timeline)
My problem is that I cannot render it with Octane, I don't know what to change in order to make the geometry nodes color assignment work with Octane, in the same way the colors change using Cycles, please help me.

not helpful: I too would like to know how the attributes are meant to work with octane. wonder if there are any example files out there folks care to share?

I have a feeling this still isn't possible (Lino - please tell me I'm wrong!).

There are 2 outstanding user requests for similar. We really need Attribute, Particle Info and Object Info Nodes to be ported across (I say with no idea if this is even doable) - especially now Geo Nodes is so capable.

We'll do our best to support Geometry Node's Attributes as soon as possible.

It would be great if we could receive very simple scenes using those.

I found some difficulties to convert data in conventional float format into octane float format (which is 3 dimensional data),
if you connect a conventional value into a octane's value input, octane will just ignore it.
without this seems cannot connect geometry node to octane...

Here I have a minimum blender scene that shows geometry nodes and shader issues.
1. by defining geometry nodes we have a input for color at the panel at right hand
2.the color is exported with geometry as attribute
3 the attribute data (color) appear in the spreadsheet
4 through the attribute we transfer the color information into shadings part
5 in EVEE or Cycle's engine, the color is transferred to material correctly, the cube following the input, means the attribute and the color separate works fine.
6 when come to octane engine, the color is not working, I guess the floats to color node is where the issue comes.

please see the below image and the attached blender project.

I found a tutorial at YouTube on how to do a Realtime river by geo nodes ,
Guess this scene can be an example for what are the fundamental needs for connecting geo nodes to octane materials,
the original one is base on the EVEE and Cycle, I did a little bit try to make it usable for octane projects, basically it could work,

Though the original water and foam material is bit tricky, the center part of the river is more transparency and the side part is more like foam, from the geo node attribute the location information is transferred to material (shading nodes)to let material know where is more water where is more foam, this will need the support of connecting shading and octane to geo nodes, so this effect haven't been made in my octane testing.

Geo nodes are so powerful, for this example, we can create a river by just a few clicks,

The blender file is attached here, hope the connection happen sooner, many thanks

in this example as the attribute can be an output of geometry node system,
if the geometry node system is really complicate to be integrated into octane,
no matter how complicate the geo node system is, is it possible to get the output data of Geo node and as an input data for octane's node?
No offend, just want to see the support of geo node earlier.
