Hello,
I was up trying the new render method photon tracer with Octane 2022.1 in Cinema 4D.
I really wanted to try a few things and watched this tutorial https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l8DP43qsuNM and
noticed that my rendering does weird stuff while solving the caustics. I attached a screen capture.
For me it looks like a bug or some driver issue.

Hi,
It seems to just be coherent ratio being increased to maximum.
Setting it back to 0 (default value) should produce the expected result.
I'm not a video content creator "tutorial" type of person, if you don't mind reading, I've written an Octane Caustics Guide, from PT, PMC to Photon Tracing. Nearly everything is covered.
It's a bug only if it qualifies as one, via troubleshooting, reproducibility, etc.Maxter wrote: For me it looks like a bug or some driver issue.
