hello,
i am trying to install latest octane release, but since my UE5 is not installed on my C drive, i don't think i am getting the location for octane right, so UE5 does not even start. any suggestions please? tx!
which folder should i install octane 61 in?

The default install location is the default folder where unreal installs itself
Which is: C:\Program Files\Epic Games\UE_5.1
When you installed your unreal somewhere else you need to go to the top most folder that contains the version of unreal.
The top folder should contain the subfolders of "Engine", "FeaturePacks", "Samples", "Templates"
So if your install folder looks like the the following: D:\Programs\Unreal\, then you should put that as the install path in the plugin installer.
The plugin will then be installed at D:\Programs\Unreal\Engine\Plugins\Marketplace\Octane
