Hi, I need help regarding the render pass functionality in the standalone version. I´ve searched the online manual for help but couldn´t find detailed information about what I am looking for.
I have also droped two messages at the official discord server but no reply.
What I do not understand is, how can I turn everything off, except the shadow of the box so that I can render only the shadow?
As you can see in this simple image, there is only the cube and a plane where it stands.
I have created the object layer and object layer map nodes as it is described in the manual. The cube has the render Id 1 and the plane hast render Id 2 in the object layers.
But when deactivating the visibility of the plane and the cube, there is no shadow visible, only a black screen.

And I would really appreciate it if someone could point me out to a good, in-depth video tutorial series for the current standalone version of Octane Render, where everything is explained. From the very basics to more complex things, like animation, light setup, batch rendering etc..

Hi,

I've seen your message on Discord. Would you prefer to continue on Discord?

Regarding Octane Standalone, I've wrote Guides covering most aspects of Standalone. Let me know what is missing and I will add it ASAP!
