So I turned the AI denoiser "Off" for octane as I wanted to use the Neat Video Denoiser in post for it. My current thought process is to firstly denoise in post, and then add grain on top making the results much cleaner. Now for the question: Would using static noise when rendering potentially make the process of getting rid of it easier, and would the end result be better? (I'll be adding grain on top of it anyway so I'm assuming it doesn't matter too much)
Hi,
enable the Static Noise option if Coherent Ratio value is greater then zero, otherwise you will have an unwanted flickering effect in animation.
