Hi, i've added a second machine with 2 GPU cards as an additional render node, everything seems to be working but there is no increase in render speeds.
The GPU monitor on the render node machine is showing both the additional cards running at 1980mhz, maxed out, the main work station is seeing them, they are appearing in the network render tab, and have both been bound to the base machine.
I've run a test with the main workstation rendering 100 frames on it's own and then added the render node to run the same 100 frames but there is no increase in render speeds.
Not sure if there is something I have missed.
Thanks for any advice/help.
Cheers
Aaron
No Speed benefit adding render nodes

when You look into utilization (GPU load over time) graph, does it have any gaps?
what could happen with network rendering if You have a slow one, is that rather than rendering GPUs are waiting for information and doing nothing half of time. this could lead to situations where You add same or similar amount of render power but do not see any positive effect in render times.
if there is no way to make You render network a bit faster, usually keep rendering on each of those machine is the way to go. On that instance, instead of both machines working on the same sequence at the same time, one works on first half, other on the second - You end up having the same work done, without any negative effects that You network would bring.
hope it makes sense.

thanks, the cpu in the second machine is a slower machine, i'll check the GPU utilization.
If no luck i'll try reinstalling, i'm running 4 x 2080 supers, 2 on each machine and was hoping to see a good bump in speed
thanks again

I deleted the software and reinstalled the render node again, it fixed the issue, weird as everything was indicating it was working
