Hello,

I am struggling to find any source of info that would show/explain the process of setting up OSL nodes to get backplate image projected from camera in detail. Can anyone help/enlighten me, please?

Yes, I think I searched all over the forum.
Problem is, no one even mentions what to do with all these scripts/how to use them, where to assign/connect what etc etc.

So let's try and start slowly, here I have this texture and I want it to be my backplate:

Ah, ok, you need to use an Octane Environment node, then set the mode to Visible Environment, then load your texture in the Image texture node, add the Projection node, change it to OSL projection, and copy paste the code you want in the node:

Okay, it seems I got it working, much appreciated!

Now I wonder if this workflow/setup is only applicable for bitmaps, or is there a way to use Octane's/C4D's procedural maps/shaders as well? Like gradients, noises, etc? That would be super useful
