OctaneRender for Maya 2021.1.5 Installer hangs

Hi All,

It seems that I cannot install the Octane for Maya plugin. It stops at "Extract: octaneRenderer.xml".
I run at administrator, disabled virus scanner, disabled firewall, reboot computer nothing works.

I can extract the installer archive and see the files so is there documentation to install this manually?

Or someone has some other tips?

Weird, 2021.1.5 - 20.18 is installing fine.

Thanks for the post. We are unable to replicate this on our end!
Would you please let us know which Autodesk Maya version you are trying to install OFM?

Anyway, please try the steps below to install the OFM manually after extracting!

- copy the OctaneRender VR for Maya or OctaneRender VRE for Maya folder under Program Files or anywhere in the drive!
- then extract the octane.mod file from

octanemod.zip

(323 Bytes) Downloaded 181 times

C:\Program Files\Autodesk\Maya20XX\modules
- open the octane module file in a text editor and change the first line

+ MAYAVERSION:20XXOctaneRender 20.19 C:\Program Files\OctaneRender VR/VRE for Maya\20XX

Thank you for the info.
We have the same Maya 2022.3 update and OFM 20.19 installed correctly in both Studio and Enterprise builds.
Is Autodesk Maya 2023 installed in C:\ drive or a different drive? also, please try installing manually and see if it resovles.
