Planetary Environment for space scene lighting?

I'm having a bit of an issue with trying to use the planetary environment for lighting a space scene.
I was thinking of opting for it instead of the Octane Day Light ... because I couldn't really disable the ground in the even I wanted the sun to come from a beneath angle.
The planetary environment MOSTLY works, however when I have the altitude maxed out... I still get a hint of blue in my specular materials.

So what I'm asking is: Is there a way to either disable the ground on the daylight object entirely, or disable the planetary surface on the planetary environment?
What I need is one of these two lights that have no falloff, but there should theoretically be no ground/planetary surface nearby.
