I'm wanting to render out a project that will allow me to easily change the diffuse colour of a material in post, composited in After Effects.

For example, I've rendered a green cube. But I would like to change this to blue - along with all the reflections:
Green material
Green material
Blue
Blue
What is the best method of doing this? Notice there is a red light which makes the green more orange and the blue more purple - so would I need to render out a light pass also?

Add a Custom AOV to your material, via the Basic tab in the material itself. Choose a Custom AOV number from the list. Make sure check the Enable toggle in Render Settings > Octane Renderer > Render AOV Group tab. You will also need to actually add the AOV for rendering. On the same tab, go the Render AOVs turndown and click on Add Render AOV > Custom > Custom AOV. This will add the Custom AOV to the Octane Renderer node in the AOV nodegraph. It will also add a CSTM button to Live Viewer which will show you the result, which will be a grayscale mask that can be used to isolate the material and any reflections/refractions that the material would be visible to in the final render.

Thanks for your reply, I'm using Octane X (PR11) on a mac, which is based off 2020.1, so I'm guessing it's not a feature in that version, doesn't look like it
