I've tried everything. This is super easy in Redshift but for some reason I can't get anything but my Beauty image from Octane. I have Multilayer file checked and Cryptomatte materialnode selected. The image comes into After Effects with no crytpomatte layers.
What's the significance of the basic Cinema 4d save panel when rendering from Octane? Does anything in that panel effect Octane Render AOV groups? When I render cryptomattes, amd I getting a separate image like in Redshidt, or is the matte embedded into the image?
BTW, I can see the passes in live viewer. They're just not accessible in AE after rendering.
This is in the log:
Tonemapping the all passes tm:0.008
pass [Diffuse] not found...
pass [Diffuse direct] not found...
pass [Refraction filter (Beauty)] not found...
pass [Denoised beauty] not found...
pass [CryptoMaterialNode] not found...
Displaying passes in tm=1.728
not all the passes requested for tonemapping are enabled
None of the requested render passes were enabled.
failed to save multi-layer EXR
failed to export render passes
Passes saved in:0.007sec.
**** RENDER FINISHED **** stat=6
I can't make Octane render passes work...some help?

Do not use the Cinema 4D saver. Instead, use the one in Render Settings > Octane Renderer > Render AOV Groups tab, and click on the Enable button. Then choose the file name and location, as well as type, and so on.

Things changed with the recent versions of the plugin.

Having issues again. For some reason I can't get render passes to save my EXR.
In the log I get a message that says:
not all the passes requested for tonemapping are enabled
None of the requested render passes were enabled.
failed to save multi-layer EXR
failed to export render passes
But it is enabled.
What is the trick to making Octane save a render? It shouldn't be this difficult.

You should submit a support ticket to [email protected]. Do a "Save Project with Assets...", archive the result, and include it with your submission.

It's not hard in reality. Probably you have something unsupported(ex. using non-english chars on saving) or missed an obvious stuff. Please do what Jay says.adrencg wrote:Having issues again. For some reason I can't get render passes to save my EXR.
