Plain Effector (Visibility) doesn't effect Octane Scatterin

Hi,
I need to clip Octane Scattering result by using Plain Effector's visibility feature but it does not effect. Where is the problem here?

Yes, it completly ignore visibility on all effectors. I don't remember if it worked in earlier versions.

You can set the Plane Effector Scale at -1, instead of using Visibility:

But what about internal calculations and VRam usage ? Does these scaled down instances still pass throught engine and being calculated ?

thank you @bepeg4d but I was going to ask the same question. I have 3 O.Scatter objects with 20K and 30K counts.

I've done a test, vram usage and render times are reducing accordingly.
