Hi since updating to 2021.1 my cryptomattes no longer work in Nuke. So with 2020 cryptomattes were working in AE and Nuke, with 2021 they are working in AE only.

Has anything changed in how Cryptomattes are saved that would explain this? Looking for a fix/workaround

EDIT: I found a fix but will leave this post in case it can be helpful to someone else. I downloaded the Psyop version of the cryptomatte plugin from their github and this worked for reading the 2021 Cryptomattes. https://github.com/Psyop/Cryptomatte

I ran into the same thing. If I have "render AOVs" ticked it would crash the plugin and usually C4d itself. If I didn't have AOVs ticked it would render, it looked like a mat was rendered (saw it in the octane viewer) but Nuke wouldn't recognize it as a cryptomatte. (It's detailed in my message right under yours on the board.)

Please @aoktar, @Otoy, fix this asap, it prevents us to work properly with compositing artists thus invalidating octane for bigger projects... It happened already twice for us.

They put out a new release the other day. I downloaded it but haven’t tested it yet.
