This is the recommended thread for downloading, and posting any questions, suggestions or support queries for OctaneRender for AutoCAD TEST and STABLE releases.

SOLUTIONS TO COMMON ISSUES

1) Make sure your NVIDIA drivers are up to date. If in doubt, run Octane Standalone, then add and click on a Rendertarget to make sure it starts rendering.

2) If the Octane Camera direction does not match up with the AutoCAD camera, Rightclick the XYZ axis in the AutoCAD viewport and select "World".

3) Cuda error 999 - failed to load shader code: Multiple definition of 'cpSptStatistics' in 'cuda_teturemode' means that your plugin version is too old for the Nvidia drivers that are installed, so update to the latest version of the plugin

AutoCAD Version
The plugin requires AutoCAD 2021 or 2022, Windows 64bit.

To use this version, you need a GPU of compute model 3.0 or higher. Support for Fermi GPUs (like GTX 4xx and 5xx) has been dropped. Also make sure you use a driver of version 419.17 or higher.

Network Rendering
For Network Rendering, you must use the Octane slave release from the Octane Standalone installer which matches the exact Octane version of the plugin you are using. This version matches OctaneRender Standalone 4.00.

Support Issues
If you have a support issue, pls provide the following information:
- Operating System (ie. Win XP, Vista, 7, 8)
- 32 or 64 bit
- Amount of RAM
- Graphics Card(s) - model (ie. GTX 580, 3GB)
- Nvidia driver version
- AutoCAD version and build number

Hi

I will have a look when I do the next release. Me guess is that it won't be easy, but I will check it out.

Well - could you at least make the background color be more consistent through out the interface. On the attached screendump in my previous post the Windows 10 UI settings are set to use High Contrast theme with darker grey shades for background items and distinct orange color for forground items and so the tab area and the individual boxes look okay as they are using the defined system colors.

However the main box background somehow is just ignoring system colors having white color. Why it is so?

I have made some changes to the dialog colors, so they should pickup the Window High Contrast color better. It will be in the next release (which will be Octane 2021.1.2).

Thanks
