Hi there,
When I isolate a small region on my image in the live viewer I sometimes like to zoom in so I can see it more easily so it's not such a strain for me to look at. However, zooming in results in a blurring/resampling of the image. This is expected at imperfect multiples but at 2x or 4x it would be ideal to not have any blurring effect and simply let 1 pixel become 4 pixels or 8 pixels etc so that I get a perfectly clean zoomed image. This is exactly how After Effects works when you want to speed up your work flow (lower resolution, zoom in, pixels don't blur). Please see attached image to demonstrate. Is this something that's somehow possible via some settings? Or if not, is it something you'd consider offering in a future version? Thanks!
Is it possible to turn off zoom "blurring" effect in LV?

Hi, is it mindpattern#3639 from Discord?
I am not an Octane Cinema 4D user. If I am not mistaken, this "zoom" option is only available in the Octane for Cinema 4D plugin (may be some other Octane plugins?). It is not available in Standalone, for instance.
It does highlight an important aspect of rasterized CG imagery: up/down-scale "anti aliasing" algorithms. The result of "what After Effect does" is questionable.
I do not know if this Zoom option is a "digital zoom". However, there are three options worth to look at:
• The Filter option in the Render Kernel,
• The lock/unlock icon option in the Render Viewer
• The sub-sample mode option.

Your request is particular to your specific needs. Not everybody is using it for that.

Thanks for the reply aoktar. I just wanted to be sure it's not possible so I can move on. Thanks for your suggestions on discord and on here elsksa. They don't quite achieve what I was after. All good though.
I will leave this here as a bit of a feature request, though. I think it's a very useful suggestion everyone would benefit from. At perfect multiples like 2x or 4x or 8x the blurry resampling serves no purpose as I see it and simply distorts the image unnecessarily. I much prefer seeing the clean pixels when I'm zoomed in on a small region, especially for noise-related purposes.

It's possible but needs to add a new option for that.mind_patterns wrote:Thanks for the reply aoktar. I just wanted to be sure it's not possible so I can move on. Thanks for your suggestions on discord and on here elsksa. They don't quite achieve what I was after. All good though.
