4.05 on Lightwave 2019 on Windows 11

As the title suggests, i'm reinstalling Lightwave 2019 on my new Windows 11 machine. There was some hoop jumping to get 2019 to work (issues with Nvidea 3080) but now I can't get Octane 4.05 to run. I can enable the plugin, but when I try to render, or even turn on the IPR, I get the error. "RENDER FAILURE: the render can't be completed. Enable and check the log file for more details.

are there any known issues i need to do something about?

I'm fairly sure that Octane 4.05 can't work with the RTX 30xx GPUs. They were not available at that time, so this outdated Octane version is not going to be compatible with the newer NVIDIA drivers needed by the new GPUs.

Can you condirm that by 'fairly sure' you mean 'certain'?

So despite V4 being fine for my needs, if I want to continue to use Octane within Lightwave on my new PC, I'm going to have to upgrade? I don't want to pay a monthly charge, so the only option I can see will cost my 499 euro, is that right? And does that include the Octane for Lightwave

Excuse me but I can use Octane 2020.x with lightwave 2018?
If possible is the last chance for use lw with octane.
If isn't possible the last choice is close lw forever.

Yes, the latest Octane 2020.2 and Octane 2021.1 LightWave plugin builds are compatible with all the LightWave versions, as usual.
