Sorry im such a newbie but 10 years back I used to render out layers in C4D standard render and use them in Photoshop as masks.

Now im using octane and I want to render out a layer for the shadows so I can adjust the density, please can anyone tell me if this is possible?

Thanks

30 people read this and as a newbie I found the answer myself, again.

Here it is for those who dont know:
- In C4D with Octane plugin running, go to Render Settings> Octane Renderer and on the top right is Render AOV, then part way down you have Beauty Passes and select Shadow.

I think your selected passes show up in the live viewer at the bottom and you can click them and take a look.

Im thinking this might be helpful for Octane Interiors because they always look a bit dodgy to me, but im still learning
