Denoise ON slow down

When denoise is ON it renders 10 times slower. I attached the image. Thanks It's a brand new empty scene

this issue depends on the SDK not plugin.

In my experience, in real world use, the Denoiser render time increase is pretty dependent on the scene content. The project I'm working on now uses a lot of large area lights and has deep shadows, so can be pretty noisy. The denoiser adds about 20% to my render times, but is still way faster than if I cranked up the sampling rate to reduce the noise a similar amount. This is using Octane 2020.2.5

For me, in a new, blank scene, Denoising triples render time, but that's not really a meaningful test. It is definitely context sensitive.
