Hi,

I'm using a rig on cmotion called Bendy limbs, by eyedesyn, for character animation.
The eyes of my character are supposed to be an animated image sequence, but it doesn't play inside the binding group that the rig creates.
The image sequences play perfectly outside of it.
I already tried to force the updates with the object tag and the resend deprecated on the main settings, but it doesnt work.

Any idea what might BE causing this or how to solve it?

Im using cinema 4d R21 and Octane 2020.2.5-R2

darius88,

Not sure this will help...but have you tried using an .mp4 movie of that sequence matching your FPS?

I know, I know they tell you not to use them because they won't work, but they are the only thing that have ever worked for me in C4D and Octane consistently. I use .mp4s all the time for animated textures in Octane. And yes make sure it is set to "check materials every frame" on the Main Octane render tab.

Just use a regular C4D material, add the .mp4 as texture in the COLOR tab and go into the animation tab and make sure it recognizes the length—you can click "Calculate" to check. You can leave it as default or change it to a range to start or stop the play back at a certain point. Here's my setting on one.

Anyhow, just a suggestion. Something to try anyway.

I suppose that's not about saving mp4/etc...
Hard to help without seeing detailed setup for material and related objects. Are you using stacked materials? No relationship with object tag's and material updates if you are using the materials in normal ways
