I have been rendering without too many crashes for a few days, but now as usual when I need to meet a deadline, they are happening quite often.
On a mac high sierra, Octane 2020.2.3
Bug report attached.

Have now re-installed c4dr23 and Octane. No other plug-ins. Crashed again during render.
Can anyone suggest anything? This is driving me crazy.

If I avoid rendering to the picture viewer then it doesn't crash so much. However when I save from the Live Viewer, no matter what colour options I use, the saved file looks different from the live viewer, and different from when I render to the Picture Viewer. It's more saturated and contrasty.
Hi,
please, open the scene, then go to c4doctane Settings/Log Output tab, and enable all the Log option checkboxes.
Then, load the scene in Live View, then in Picture Viewer, or until crash, then reopen c4d, navigate to c4doctane Settings/Log Output tab, press the **Generate log report** button, and share the octanelog_report.zip file, thanks.

ciao Beppe

I'm still rendering and saving from the live viewer, just to meet some deadlines.
The files are hi-res for print, so I use the lock resolution button and view them at 0.5 size when taking materials etc. I keep forgetting to switch that off when I'm ready to render and keep saving renders that are the wrong resolution.
Is there a way to render using the live viewer at full resolution, but still view the image thats rendering at a smaller size?

Have you tried using the Render Queue? Just set up for final render as you would normally, but choose Add to Render Queue... instead of Render to Picture Viewer.
