I'm getting some strange blocky / rectangles using motion blur on an x-particle cache:
Blocky
Blocky
The particles have been sped up extremely fast, but no matter why I try I cannot seem to get rid of those strange blocks

Here are my camera settings:

Any clues as to what is causing this?

1-Cache the particles
2-Check in LV not PV
3-Increase motion steps in render settings

They are already cached, they don't appear in Live Viewer, but they do when rendering out, so I'd like to sort it in PV

I've had a proper search and cannot find Motion Steps, I did try Time Sampling Per Frame, is that the same?:

It happens if something moving/rotating very fast. Yes I tried to say "Time Sampling Per Frame". Check it with more values.

Thanks, I upped it to max 32 with no difference

I'll try reducing the speed - Can Octane not handle these velocities?

It should handle until some delta without issues. After a limit, that starts to stretch or distorts. Sub-sampling is to decrease the deltas. Maybe it's a mistake on my side or core, it started to seems lately

FYI I thought I'd try it by using xpGenerator method instead of Octane Particle rendering and it doesn't work either

Probably same issue. We can test it if you can share a sample scene.
