live db, previews and lost textures with updates

I have updated my Rhino 7 Octane plug-in, alongside with Rhino (to 7.7) and have once again suffered a loss of textures (live db material), broken material previews etc.

Is there a best practice to avoid these problems when we are required to make updates to accomodate new hardware?

Can you tell me the version number of the plug you have installed please?

Yes, working with Rhino 7.7 and Octane Enterprise 2021.1.0.127.
I reverted back to Rhino 6 and Octane 4.05 and was able
to complete the project.

Have you selected OctaneRender as the Rhino renderer?

Actually, previews for materials won't load even if I restart the computer, refresh textures and force "Update All Previews"

No worries Paul.
I've got things working except LiveDB previews are 'skewed' and material previews don't update reliably at the moment.

Hi - I have found an issue with thumbnail previews in Octane 2021.1, and reported it to OTOY, so hopefully this issue will be resolved in the next release.
