cudnn error when trying to use Octanerender c4d

Hallo!

i have run into an issue trying to use the demo version of octanerender for c4d. When i open it its says this



then when i click download it said this



so i tried the do it yourself way of downloading and putting it in the right maps and it still didnt work and i think i put them in the right place



PC specs:

Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-7700HQ CPU @ 2.80GHz 2.81 GHz
Nvidia Geforce 1060 with max-Q design
16GB ram

Hi,
the path is not correct, did you press the "Open destination folder" button?

If you have not previously installed Octane Standalone demo, the path for c4doctane is .\plugins\c4doctane\Libs300.

If you install Standalone demo, the path for all DCC plugins is C:\Users\User_name\AppData\Local\Octanerender\thirdparty\cudnn_8_0_4.

Hey bepeg4d,

thank you so much! i pressed the path file and didnt open so i made it myself but i put it in C:\Users\User_name\AppData\Roaming\Octanerender\thirdparty\cudnn_8_0_4., instead of Local and that fixed it! thanks for your time!

great to hear that you have solved!

But weird...
Did you not find an AppData/Local/OctaneRender directory?
Did you also install Standalone demo?

no i didn't find a octanerender folder in local, but i also didnt have the standablone installed i only tried to install the plugin into c4d

Ok,
thanks for the clarification, it makes sense.

Anyway, please always use the Standalone installer at least once, it changes some Win 10 registry, to better work with GPU rendering.
