I've followed the manual to the letter but my baking camera turns up black every time.
Everything is properly UV'd with no overlaps.
I have had success in other projects, but this one eludes me. This one is a rigged character, if that matters
Baking camera renders black

Hi,
did you check the normal directions of the mesh?
If they are pointing inward, the result is black.
If normals are ok, please share more info, screenshots, or even the scene.
ciao Beppe

Yeah, i've checked the normals, they're all facing correctly (to prove the point reversing them doesn't help)
i've simplified the scene to the esstentials

Hi,
the issue is in the c4d Material tag, it ws set with Offset V = 100%.
Bringing back the value to 0 fixes the issue: So everything was correct, just moved outside of frame buffer
Happy GPU rendering,
ciao Beppe
