Adding a Metallic layer to Universal material crashes Octane Blender when attempting to render.
Works fine in Stand Alone.
See attached file – just a default cube, Universal shader and a Metallic layer.
Octane Blender 2020.2.3_23.5
FYI: Happening to me on Windows have not tried on Mac yet...

Your file crashes Blender on my machine as well, it causes a Segmentation Fault, which is a memory error on Linux.
Code: Select all
OctaneBlender Engine Create
Octane Ocio Management Update Start
Octane Ocio Management Update End
Writing: /tmp/Metalic-Layer.crash.txt
Segmentation fault (core dumped)

Thanks for checking grimm. Hoping the Devs can address this as I currently have that setup for a metallic label on plastic bottle. Guess I can try a mix or composite node though.
