Hi Juanjo,

I'm wondering, now that attributes for fur are working, is it a bug that UVs are not working or is this not supported yet? I'm currently working on a macro-shot and would like to use UVs as a projection for noise. I know, it would still only be noise along the length but at least a little option for getting more detail.
Real cylindrical UVs for strands are not planned, right?

Cheers

The Octane hair supports UVs, but only one value for each curve, at the primitive level. Maybe you could use the "W Coordinate" shader node to build gradients in your curves object.

Thanks,

Hey,

thanks. Yeah, I'm using that w coordinate workaround already.
Are there plans on adding UVs? I mean, basically there's everything there already, right? Wouldn't you just need some kind of convert to change a vector attribute to that projection matrix?

Cheers

I'm not sure if adding point level UVW attributes is a planned feature in the short term, to be honest.

Thanks,
