I found a big problem – duplicated frames.

I have a project of over 1500 frame and had to go through every one to find the dupes, note them down and serenader them (sometimes twice)

Much like other people here - I was under a tight deadline, so I turned to RNDR. Ended up costing me more time and having to pull an all-nighter to fix.

Any ideas on how to fix this – OTOY support have been completely silent with my requests.

Don't use the standalone - I'm using PR6 C4D to make the ORBX files.

Still having issues today.

Apparently the 2020.2-R2 CUDA version works a treat and the problem is no longer there.

Sadly, I'm running news machines with Metal.

Any idea when the bug will be addressed?

Ok, as suspected you are using OctaneX Metal.
We need to wait for PR8 for a fix.

Please follow my instructions on how to export the .orbx scene via C4D command-line, you don’t need to use Standalone:

Looking forward for your feedback,

Thanks. Tried the command line option. Can't get a save ORBX file from it. It runs and then no file.

It's also rather laborious if you imagine doing this multiple times over - every day.

EDIT: Spelling

Ok, we figure out that the issue was that I forgot to say to press the space bar after dropping something in the terminal window.
Now also snahbah has tried this solution, and has worked perfectly, without issues:

Not only, exporting in this way is incredibly fast, compared with the normal export, the -nogui option is very useful in this case :D

Happy RNDR rendering,

Sorry, I could never get this to work. Not sure where you got that information.

I understand that this is a known issue and the team are working on it.

Any idea when it will function properly? I’m wasting money.
