Hi Octane Users,

how can i add a spotlight or a direction light in octane for blender?

the standart blender spot light isn't supported in octane. is there a workaround?

Hi,

Spotlight -> Sphere
Direction Light -> Area Light + cone IES

Here is a material that can be used for area light or mesh light. The Gradient tex can be used to control the size of the spotlight.
