Hello.
I'm experimenting with xParticles and Octane and i've created a scene with some basic particles. However i am experiencing a lot of Octane crashes (crashing C4D as well) - especially when i apply motion blur to my particles. I read some other threads where people were experiencing the same issue, but i failed to find any solution. I'm unsure if i applied the Octane motion blur correctly or if it's because i am using an emissive texture with the particles? I've tried caching the simulation, but it still crashes.
I'm using the latest version of Octane (2020.1.5 on Windows 10), xParticles Build 895 and C4D R23.110. I'll attach my scene to this topic if you want to try it out.
Thanks
xParticles + Octane crashing when applying Motion Blur

Can you turn the “M.blur caches [frame]” down? By default it’s at 35 and I noticed that’d cause XP scenes to crash so I default to setting that at a value of 1.

guys sorry to resurrect a dead thread, but I'm having this problem too. My scene crashed mid-render one day and now as I try get it to re-continue from where it left off, it just gets stuck at calculating MB. I tried bringing down the motion blur cache frames to 1, changing settings etc, didn't do anything...
I don't think it's same problem. This old scene is crashing in viewport without having render.Aymeric_FX wrote:guys sorry to resurrect a dead thread, but I'm having this problem too. Yours may be related pre-calculation of motion data if you start from middle of render. And just waiting not crashing
