any fix for this issue? I've tried messing around with ray Epsilon, to no avail.

Adjust the mesh in the eye so the geometry doesn't intersect.

Maybe, maybe not. I had that problem at some point and I could only fix it in MODO as I couldn't see which morph in the eye was the problem in Poser. Turned out to be a character morph in my case that also had eye morphs.
