Hello,
Subject pretty much says it all. I have an Octane material for my base material, I have another octane material with a selection tag asigned to it. If i put the object in a cloner, the Live View doesnt show the material with the selection tag. If i dont use the cloner, it shows fine.
Cloner set to "Instance" or "Multi Instance" doesnt solve it.

Oaktar, i was chasing a rabbit down the wrong hole. It was a pure rookie mistake that resembled issues with textures and cloners.
OFF TOPIC:
do you recommend using C4D subdivision or the Octane Subdivision during rendering? Is one faster?

Well no problem! Don't know which is faster. Export process will be shorter when you use Octane subdiv but api update will be longer. Make a test please
