Saving Octane preferences

Hello!

I am using Houdini Indie on steam and Octane render plugin. The problem I have is that Octane render settings do not get saved in preferences. For example I need to activate out of core every time I start Houdini and these preferences do not get saved in project file either, so rendering it on render farm creates problems, as some settings are not correct.

I tried configuring the octane.pref file in \Documents\houdini18.0 but it gets overwritten to default values every time I run Houdini. Has anyone else experienced similar things?

This is really weird. Let me check the preferences code to see if I can find something that could explain this behavior.

Ok. I've found a problem in the config file management code that could indeed break some settings, like the out of core enable parameter. I'll include this fix in the next plugin builds.

Awesome news. I have to admit, that now it is somehow working for me. I opened my scene file and out of core is enabled. Not sure how it happened, I hope it didn't cause too much confusion for you.
