There are issues with materials and object caching. Sometimes objects stay in place while they has been moved to other position. Sometimes materials are not updated unless cache has been cleared. With materials it happens mostly when object is edited, added new material and then after launching render the changes are not visible unless the cache is cleared.

The object's caching issues happens when it's pivot is changed before rendering.

Does entering and exiting Edit Mode for the object solve the issue?
It happens regardless edit mode. It happens when a pivot point is changed before rendering.

I've tried to move the pivot point. The render was not updating until I entered/exited Edit Mode.
Then it was fine, as I mentioned in my previous post.
That's the way updating cache works.

It's a workaround, not a fix.linograndiotoy wrote:I've tried to move the pivot point. The render was not updating until I entered/exited Edit Mode.

No, it's the way it works. You can choose to have the cache update for a specific object either by hitting tab or simply selecting the object (which is the solution I like less).J.C wrote:It's a workaround, not a fix.linograndiotoy wrote:I've tried to move the pivot point. It's an option you can choose in the Cache settings.
There's no way Octane can detect changes made in Blender when is not active, that's why making changes when the Octane preview is off, needs some "manual" trigger to be fired.
