Hallo,

Last week everything was working within the "normal acceptable standard, today, I arrive at the office and I can't render anything, it freezes completely, the only thing that happened during the weekend was a Win update, that I uninstalled, but keeps freezing the video....

anyone else having this problem?

Definitely something related to Win updadte, sincerely my patience with these things is reaching its limit...

I uninstalled the uptades of win, now works again, the same problem occurred in my Worksation at home, on the same day...

but it's my fault...

rule number 1 in our profession: if it's working, don't update and don't change anything, great chances of giving problems.

Hi samsue,
sometimes windows update conflicts with installed Nvidia drivers, it is not attributable to Octane.

yea yea i now :)

it must be terrible for developers to have to develop something that is constantly hindered by Nvidia and Win but on the user's side it's frustrating

I had great problems installing the ultiam version of Win and nvidia driver I had to format the PC at the end :(

After formatting the PC from scratch, I used the DDU to clean the nvidia driver installed by windows and installed the following driver;
chrome_OtOdpvDPe4.png
But you seem to have some problem with Open GL and I had to dowload a cuDNN file...

can you give me a hand with that?

Which OpenGL drive do I have to download?

Did I download the right Nvidia drive?

Hello samsue,
I'm testing 456.38 studio version and it seems to be ok wiht my RTX
https://us.download.nvidia.com/Windows/ ... h-whql.exe
Said that try as follow:
1 Updates windows 10 up to at least build 1909 or 2004.
2 Right click the Start button and select Control Panel.
3 Make your way to System and Security.
4 Click System.
5 Click Advanced system settings from the left sidebar.
6 Select the Hardware tab.
7 Press the Device Installation Settings button.
8 Choose No, and then press the Save Changes button.
9 Unistall the Nvidia drivers using DDU Nvidia unistaller drivers (**safe mode unistall** - [windows safe mode](https://support.microsoft.com/it-it/hel ... -safe-mode))
10 install the Nvidia driver "studio driver". Please doesn't install GeForce Experience and make a clean installation.

Having some trouble downloading, you can download the cuDNN library from the following link:
https://render.otoy.com/downloads/e5/c5 ... nn64_7.dll
Then place it in C:\Users\<user name>\AppData\Local\OctaneRender\thirdparty\cudnn_7_4_1"

The problem was Forest Pro. Actually it's not ForesPro, I think it's when you start using out-of-core, everything starts to go wrong.
