Good evening (o;

As also a blender and E-Cycles user I know that both versions don't have any denoising features which makes it usable for render animation...unless you probably set the sample count to 20 billion (o;

Does the Octane Blender version has nowadays a usable denoising which make it usefull for animation?

So far I always have to use Davinci Resolve Studio for inter-frame denoising.

thanks in advance

Hey there,

Might I suggest an alternative method for rendering animation.

I used Maya and the batch process for rendering is quite a bit slower than rendering in standalone - not only because of the plugin, but also the translation every frame begins to bog the batch process. SO, alternatively I export an ORBX after shading the scene and batch within the standalone. It's much faster as the translation is done up front and all features are supported.

Octane denoising works very well for animations. It is preferred to Use Static noise in kernel settings for the best effect. I've rendered animations with 256 to 512 samples with denoiser with a very good result.
