Will the RTX 3080 work in Octane 4.05-R7?

Hello guys,

will the new RTX gpu from Nvidia be supported in the Octane version 4.05-R7? I couldn't finde any articles about this version with this gpu.
Do I have to upgrade to Octane 2020? :|

I`m on 4 also...I think we will need to upgrade.
Octane 2022.1.1 nv535.98

version 4 is not supporting RTX, which is the RTX 3080's big advantage...
It will need to be at least version 2010.1.5 which start to support RTX 30 seris

But will it work without RTX?

I reached out to the support and the anwser is yes but you can't use the RTX acceliration :/

Understand that the support team had replied RTX 3080 work in Octane 4.05-R7, but just want to ask if anyone actually using RTX 3080 with Octane 4.05-R7? I saw from another post in the forum said the AI Denoiser will cause issue when render, just want to make sure if it works fine without using AI denoiser in Octane 4.05-R7. Thanks!

The issue with RTX 30X0 GPUs has been solved in 2020.2-XB4 SDK:
viewtopic.php?f=33&t=76077
So we need to wait for c4doctane 2020.2-XB4 to have the full RTX 30X0 support.

In the meantime, if you need to render with AI Denoiser active, you should need to export your scene to Standalone 2020-XB4 in .orbx format and render from there.

just got a RTX 3090 and Octane 4.05 is not working. :(
It shows me in the preference:
CUDA version: 11.10
Device: Gefroce RTX 3090 (compute model 8.6)

But at the bottom of the Viewport stands in red "no CUDA GPUs"
How can I now render my old Standalone files?
Win7 64 | Geforce 470GTX 1280MB | Q9550 2.83GHz | 8GB Ram | NVidia 306.23 , Cuda 5.0.1
