Hi,

Just wondering if anyone could give me insight into why this happens. I built a scene I've been using to render but because it is inside it renders pretty slow. I decided to baked an HDR to speed things up and here are the results. C4D R21 and Octane version 4.05R7

This is the scene before being turned into an HDR

This is the scene after being turned into an HDR (Gamma 1 and Brightness1)

This is the HDR again but with Gamma at 2.2 and brightness at 1.5

The HDR gets close to matching the original look with a gamma and brightness adjusted but is never actually the same. Am I missing something in the translation process or is there just a limitation of HDR's ability to replicate light the exact same way?
