I'm new to Octane and Houdini, so i'm probably doing something wrong but my IPR renders are purple, even though I applied a material to the mesh. Can someone take a look at my simple scene and let me know what i'm doing wrong. I'm running Houdini Indie 18.0.499 with Octane 2020.1.3.

If you check the attributes, you will see that you have a prim attrib called shop_materialpath. Just delete it and you'll be good.

Yes, the shop_matrerial path attribute has priority over the OBJ level material. If it points to a wrong or not available Octane material, the render use the default purple surface.

Thank you galleon27 and juanjgon! I didn't even know how to delete a attribute and had to learn about attributes, so using the delete attribute node was the answer!
