I am not quite ready to do all the testing myself, and was curious if someone could help me out with what they think of Octane vs Redshift for Volumes/Water/Particles.
Also, in general, what are features Octane is missing for Houdini now that could potentially be dealbreakers?
From what I've seen from GPU renderers, Octane looks much nicer with Volumes than RS does. But I could be mistaken.
Thank you!
How does Octane compare to RS for Volumes/Water/Particles

Yeah, it's a little slow here haha. Although in the subforums some of the developers usually respond very quickly. Like Juanjo in the Houdini subforum
EDIT: oh wait, that's here hahaha

Latest 2020 octane has everything what you need. For me it's better now than Redshift. I am not sure why, but Redshift always gives me some caramel style. You can find this on all Redshift renders. But, Redshift is better integrated in Houdini
