Hi

I am a IT systems integrator, and i have just built for my client a workstation with 4x RTX 2080 Ti GPUs

My client uses Octane along with 3ds Max.

I have done stress tests with AIDA64's GPU tests, but when my client runs his render with denoising enabled, the set basically just shuts down (sometimes after half hour, sometimes after a few hours etc)

I am trying to try various methods to resolve this, but i will rather try to narrow down the causes and hence solve this problem in my workshop rather than having my client onsite attempt to run a test render with his actual projects (which is a waste of this time)

Is there any way i can do this, short of buying a full licence for 3DS Max and Octane just for testing purposes (im not going to use it)?

Hi,
please try with a bigger PSU, or with 2x PSUs.
While rendering, the power consumption is constant, but when AI Denoiser is calculated, the GPU reaches the power peak, and if there is not enough power, you can have this kind of issues.
