I've never had a problem setting my EXR renders to sRGB / tonemapped, but since the last plugin version (2020), my render is outputting a linear color profile, even though my settings are correctly set to sRGB.
Even though it shows a tonemapped preview in Picture Viewer, it gets much darker on After Effects unless I set AE color profile to linearize.

Any idea what's causing this?

I might have not been clear enough on my explanation, considering no answers yet.
I'll simplify things then, for if it isn't some mistake of mine, it sounds like a bug of the latest plugin (2020.1-R3).

Compare the two images below. Absolute same render settings, as shown in the above post:
C4D Octane Plugin 2019.1.5-R3 - This is the desired result.

C4D Octane Plugin 2020.1-R3 - Apparently, it's rendering in linear profile, though it's set to tonemap / sRGB. To make it look like the previous image, I have to check "Linearize Working Space" in compositing phase.

Why is it?
